What’s Happening in Peachtree Corners: Town Center 2024 Spring/Summer Events

Peachtree Corners’ social center, the Town Green — located in the popular Town Center on Peachtree Parkway, offers a variety of events year-round. Below is a collection of planned Spring and Summer events. From live concerts, to movies and livestream sports broadcasts on the giant screen, to early-morning yoga and outdoor Crossfit, plus the Annual PTC Festival, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy!

Summer Concert Series

Five For Fighting May 25, 7:00 pm. To date, Five For Fighting, has released six studio LPs, including the platinum certified America Town and The Battle for Everything; and the top-10 charting Two Lights, along with an EP and live albums.  John Ondrasik has penned major hits, including the chart-topping “100 Years,” “The Riddle,” “Chances,” “World,” and “Easy Tonight,” which have earned tens of millions of streams and place him as a top-10 Hot Adult Contemporary artist for the 2000s. The reflective “100 Years” has joined “Superman (It’s Not Easy)” as part of the American Songbook and continues to stand the test of time at weddings, birthdays, graduations, memorials, and many a home video. Five For Fighting’s music has also been featured in more than 350 films, television shows, and commercials, including the Oscar-winning The Blind SideHawaii Five-O, The Sopranos and the CBS drama, Code Black

Guardians of the Jukebox, June 29, 7:00 pm.  Headlining the night is Peachtree Corners fan-favorite Guardians of the Jukebox! Aptly describes as “A visual and sonic highlight reel of one of the most influential decades in music history” the Guardians of the Jukebox is a five-star nostalgia ‘80s juggernaut” Because of their love affair with the magnificent decade, the Guardians consider themselves more than just a tribute band, they are a sonic time machine that transports their fans back in time! This show is sure to be packed with high energy and smash hits!

Tina Turner Tribute Band July 27, 7:00 pm.

Ticket to the Moon (ELO Tribute Band) August 31, 7:00 pm. Ticket to the Moon is often regarded as one of the best ELO tribute bands in the world by many fans. They are known for their authentic renditions of Electric Light Orchestra songs and their high-energy performances. A1A (Jimmy Buffet Tribute band)September 28, 7:00 pm. The energy, musicianship, originality, excitement, and continuous honest dedication to preserving Jimmy Buffet’s legacy that has always surrounded a Jeff Pike and A1A performance are an experience and a driving force that has helped the band remain the first, foremost and longest running Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show in history.

The Evolution of Pop, October 26, 7:00 pm. Pop music. It’s the songs with catchy hooks and captivating grooves that reverberate all over the globe. These songs connect us across oceans and beyond borders, forming links to the past, present and future. Pop songs are the stuff of legend. Night Music Series — Live, Local Music!

Concerts are at the Town Green at Town Center at 7:00 PM, admission is FREE to enjoy live music on the second Saturday of the month, May through October. The Night Music Series gives Peachtree Corners residents another opportunity to hear music from all genres and eras. Fans can also visit one of the many restaurants located within the Town Center or bring food to the Town Green.

Taylor Swift Tribute May 11, 7:00 pm.

Carpool (Cars Tribute Band) June 8, 7:00 pm. With their sleek, synth heavy, steady beat and driving guitar sound all inspired by proto-punk, garage rock, and power pop, Boston-based quintet the Cars racked up a string of multi platinum albums (6) and a whopping 16 Top 40 singles, becoming the most successful American synth-pop-rock (New Wave) band of the late ’70s and ’80s. Carpool tribute band recreates the sound, feel, look and vibe that made the Cars world famous. The band is comprised of five of the best and hardest working full-time musicians in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Their performance meticulously captures all the essence and brings it onto the stage. A Carpool show will take you right back to when the Cars were (and continue to be) the soundtrack of our lives, reminding us all of why the Cars hold a very special place in all of our hearts and minds. Live show available for both public and private parties/corporate events/ concerts/ festivals worldwide.

Beyonce Tribute Band, July 13, 7:00 pm

Dancing Dream (ABBA Tribute) and Hall and Oats Tribute Bands August 17, 7:00 pm. This tribute act will take you back to the days when Swedish disco group ABBA ruled the music world with their great pop hits and memorable performances. Their music is still so popular and alive, and resonates with audiences of all ages! Come experience the glitter and glamour of the 70s! This band takes pride in being able to honor the original, fantastic performers of the original Swedish music group, ABBA!

Blank 281 (Blink 182 Tribute Band) September 14, 7:00 pm. Blank281 takes you on a Nostalgic ride through Blink182’s early releases and tours from 1994-1998 to their mainstream breakthrough and success in 1999-2004. Through their three year Hiatus, their reformation to the lineup change of today. Although the main concentration is on Tom. They are the closest thing you are going to get to the Mark, Tom and Travis show! Blank281 fans have been packing in venues across America for the last 12 years to see them perform. They cum to the show knowing they will have an opportunity to relive their youth through a true Blink182 experience! So sit back and enjoy the ride as these guys don’t take themselves too seriously but they might ask you to Take Off Your Pants and Jacket and if you Blink you might just think it’s them!

Hot Licks & Rhetoric (Steely Dan Tribute Band) October 12, 7:00 pm. Formed late in 2017 when guitar player, Kai Vaughn and singer/songwriter “Shreeps” started getting together to work on their jazz guitar chops. HL&R is an Atlanta based, nine piece group of seasoned musicians showcasing and celebrating the timeless music of Steely Dan with a mission to capture the sound, feel & groove of the original recordings. Their name is taken from the lyrics of the song; “Throw Back The Little Ones” off the album, Katy Lied.

Yoga on the Green lead by Sunny Street Yoga

Every Tuesday 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m., June through September.  Everyone from beginners to experienced yogis are welcome to this FREE class taught by some of the amazing instructors from Sunny Street Yoga. Sunny Street’s motto is “Fusing Flow and Wellness.” They are devoted to the connection of breath to movement and to the integration of mind-body-spirit to support each person’s overall well-being. Yoga is known to improve your flexibility, increase blood flow, and helps with your focus. What to Bring: Water (no glass containers), a small towel or two, and a mat if you have one. Please note the ground can be wet for these early morning classes so a towel under your mat can be helpful. What to Wear: Comfortable clothes that allow a full range of motion. Consider a close-fitting shirt or a shirt that can be tucked in. Loose shirts float up on forward bends and get in the way of your practice. Come in whatever shoes you would like, as practice will be done in your bare feet.

Crossfit @ the Green, lead by Terrance Fox with CrossFit PPG 

Every Thursday, 8:00 a.m. May through September. Regardless of your fitness level or age, this is a strength and conditioning program that relies on constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity which achieves a health and fitness level that will sustain ANY lifestyle. Please bring water (no glass containers), a small towel or two, and a mat, workout attire.

PTC Town Center

The 21-acre Town Center is the heartbeat of PTC community, with over 15 restaurants (Fire and Stone Italian Pizza Kitchen, Marlowe’s Tavern, Salata…), retail shops (Hollywood Feed, Boardroom Salon, Hand and Stone…), office space, and now, 75 new townhomes that overlook a 2+ acre Town Green park. The park is a central gathering place for many in our community, and hosts live outdoor concerts and seasonal events. The city’s landmark bridge located at the main entrance to the Town Center guides pedestrians over Peachtree Parkway and connects with the Corners Connector, the city’s pedestrian and bicycle trail system, and The Forum Shopping Center where many retail shops and more wonderful restaurants await.

The Town Green, designed as space for outdoor activities, includes so many wonderful features: an active water play space, open air pavilion, café tables, fire pit, 22′ digital display screen, open lawn, playable art, an exciting new expanded play space for kids, a dog park, a fitness trail, and a 2,500 square-foot veterans’ monument featuring sculptures of military service people.

Some tips to keep in mind when attending PTC Town Green events

Park and Walk — Parking is available at the Town Center parking deck, and additional parking is provided at 3720 Davinci Court. You’ll park there, cross PTC Circle, and access the Town Green via a pathway. Look for signage.
